MIDAQ acquires Svenska Bad

MIDAQ has today acquired 70% of the shares in Svenska Bad AB, Nordpool SPA AS and Boanäs Fastighets AB from Mikael Karlsson and Magnus Karlsson.

Svenska Bad was founded in 2006 and is a leading Scandinavian company in the whirlpools market. The company supplies the Nordic and European markets with premium whirlpools developed for the Nordic climate. With in-house developed and strong brands such as Svenska Bad, Nordpool, and Svenska Pro, the company has successfully emphasized design, quality, and sustainability. The operations are conducted in Östra Frölunda and Oslo, with group sales amounting to SEK 320 million in 2020/2021.

- It feels very good that we have found a main, long-term owner with experience of solid brands in the outdoor environment. We are in an intense growth phase, and through MIDAQ, we get an owner who also has experience of geographical expansion, says Mikael Karlsson, CEO of Svenska Bad AB.

The business will continue to be led by CEO Mikael Karlsson. Svenska Bad, Nordpool SPA AS and Boanäs Fastighets AB will be part of the MIDAQ Outdoor Living business area. The business area also includes the brands Hillerstorp, Gårdsman, and Simons, led by CEO and business area manager Jonas Netterström.
